A movie sound recordist finds himself in danger for accidentally recording evidence that proves a car accident was actually murder.
MY TAKE
The argument could be made that Brian DePalma has never had an original idea in his life. Movies like Blow Out, an homagey-remake of 1966’s Blow-Up, would support that case, but can’t take away from his undeniable talent. This is a smart, tight thriller that really embraces the medium and concept in rewarding ways.
